On Thursday, June 27, Alliance hosted a Matrimony-themed Kiki Ball at Performance Space New York (right above our LLOC outreach center), and over 300 people came to attend or participate in the ball. Costumes and energy were amazing, and winners of the nearly 20 categories received large cash prizes.
The event took place on National HIV Testing Day, and Alliance, and our friends at Project STAY, conducted dozens of HIV and hep C tests. The ball featured performers from the houses of Marciano, Blue Baton, Moulin, Juicy Couture, Arizona, Berkin, Versacce, Telfar, and more.

Earlier this month, our friends at Paramount Global came to Midtown Central to help us assemble safer sex kits and organize donated clothing. These will be distributed throughout LGBTQ+Pride month and the entire year. Thank you, Paramount Global!

Alliance's Assistant Manager of Counseling, Testing, and Referral, Stephen Carrington has maintained his innocence of a 1995 conviction of murder for almost 30 years, and was recently exonerated by a judge. Alliance has always stood by Stephen as he maintained his innocence, and held a special celebration for him shortly after the exoneration. News 12 was on hand to speak with Stephen, and capture some of the celebration. For further reading about Stephen's case, read https://www.nydailynews.com/2024/05/1... or similar articles.

Brunch with the Brothas is a monthly support group affirming self-love, and safer sex positivity. We had a great turnout for June’s group at LLOC (150 1st Ave, 1st floor) where we assist with HIV/STI testing and treatment, healthcare navigation and services, and PEP & PrEP counseling/linkage for men between the ages of 19-29 who have sex with other men.
Meeting the 3rd Saturday of every month at 12:00pm, the next Brunch with the Brothas will be July 20.
