The success of Alliance programs is made possible by the dedication of our volunteers - and support from individuals and institutions alike.

Consider the possibilities…

Whether you give support, time, or talent, you can help our program participants create positive change in their lives and communities. We ask all volunteers to provide proof of vaccination, and a form of photo ID. Volunteers must be 18 years or older, except in cases of internships or community service requirements for school. Join us on the front lines:

Give Support.

  • Donate. A one-time or monthly gift helps Alliance deliver on the promise of positive change by equipping New Yorkers to navigate barriers to health, economic security, and well-being.

  • Fundraise for us. Host a virtual event or Facebook birthday fundraiser benefiting Alliance. We’ll work with you to make it memorable! Contact dan@alliance.nyc.

  • Join us. Participate in overdose prevention training and learn how to save a life; celebrate our newest Peer graduates; or join us for our annual Dining Out For Life fundraiser. Contact kristin@alliance.nyc.

  • Help Alliance expand our network. Spread the word about Alliance and introduce us to your friends and colleagues who are interested in becoming monetary or in-kind donors! Stay connected on social media (@thealliancenyc on Facebook, @thealliance_nyc on Twitter and Instagram.)

Give Time.

  • Organize a corporate volunteer day. Get your colleagues together and join us for a fun day of volunteering. Time commitment: Based on your convenience. Contact kristin@alliance.nyc.

  • Assist the Midtown Food Pantry. Prepare food packages for New Yorkers living with HIV and other chronic illnesses. Time commitment: 2-4 hours per month. Contact marcia@alliance.nyc.

  • Assemble safer sex kits. Help Alliance organize HIV/STI prevention packages at the Alliance’s Midtown Central offices. Time commitment: 2-4 hours per month. Contact guy@alliance.nyc.

  • Promote harm reduction efforts. Learn how you can help with harm reduction outreach and overdose prevention strategies at our Alliance LES Harm Reduction Center. Time commitment: 4-8 hours per month. Contact us here.

Give Talent.

  • Help with administrative work. Assist staff with data entry, mailings, records organization, and other administrative activities. Time commitment: Based on your convenience. Contact kristin@alliance.nyc.

  • Mentor a Peer. Offer your expertise with resume writing, interviewing skills, or have a peer “shadow” you at work, as they examine career options and enter the workforce. Time commitment: Based on your convenience, typically a few hours a month. Contact kristin@alliance.nyc.
