Today, over 50 Alliance community members assembled outside Governor Kathy Hochul’s 3rd Avenue Manhattan office and held a rally with other safety net providers. Our CEO Sharen Duke spoke and called on the Governor to REJECT her 340B carve out plan. Watch Sharen’s remarks here.
On Tuesday, March 28, days before “The Cuomo Carve Out” of the life-saving Medicaid 340B program is slated to go into effect, Alliance joined Housing Works and other safety net providers that will be effected by cuts to essential services. To demonstrate the severity of these cuts, we joined in a “Die-in” demonstration.
Alliance’s Women’s Health Initiative Program hosts daily interventions for women at our Midtown Central community center, from educational to fun and care-free. Earlier this month, we held a casino themed event with prizes for participants. It was a blast! All photos: David Nager/Alliance
