During Black History Month, Alliance held two fun Jeopardy events for program participants, with a theme of Black History. But we want to honor and celebrate Black History all year round. Wednesday, March 15, we held a Black History themed Jeopardy event, at CASA Washington Heights.

This Saturday, Alliance went to cheer on Team New York Aquatics during its annual One Hour Swim, as dedicated swimmers pushed themselves, swimming often non-stop. Every year, TNYA raises money for non-profit organizations that support the LGBTQ+ community, and this year, like many others, they have selected Alliance as that lucky organization. 50% of all donations to TNYA go to Alliance, so please donate today.

Over 20 Alliance staff and program participants woke up well before dawn and drove to Albany again on Monday, February 27, to lobby against proposed cuts that would remove 70,000 participants from New York State Health Homes. Joined by providers like Harlem United, Argus Health, Housing Works, and many others, we spoke with over a dozen state legislators and their staffs about the importance of the intensive care management model that Health Homes provides.
