The Positive Life Workshop—January 2024

Alliance’s The Positive Life Workshop is a safe, constructive space for people living with HIV/AIDS to discuss treatment adherence and/or engagement in healthcare, who are newly- diagnosed, and/or out-of- medical care. Participants learn how to access health care, cope with stress, partner with their doctor, deal with symptoms and side effects, make decisions about HIV treatment, disclose status to others, practice safer sex, and recognize the effects of drugs and alcohol.

2023 at Alliance: A Year in Photos

2023 was a great year at Alliance, with the return of our program participant holiday parties and Open House, as well as our PREP graduations, International Overdose Awareness Day, Mammography event, Kiki Ball, and many community building events. Retirement Party for Floyd Mitchell

In late-December, our Harm Reduction Assistant Manager Floyd Mitchell retired after a long career in the field. He mentored many of our current and past staff members, and inspired many of our clients to practice harm reduction. As our long-time volunteer coordinator, he trained many new and experienced harm reductionists. Thanks for your time, Floyd, and happy retirement!

Alliance Peer Holiday Party

Our Peer winter holiday party was held earlier this month at Alliance, with most of our 102 Peers attending the merry communal event, featuring food, decorations, and smiles.

Alliance Staff Holiday Party

For the first time in four years, we held our once-annual staff holiday party, on Friday, December 15. There was a great turnout, and prizes given out to our ugly sweater contest winners.
