Team New York Aquatics Annual Swim at Sacred Heart

Team New York Aquatics (TNYA) a non-profit organization home to an inclusive community of aquatics programs with masters swimming, water polo, diving, and artistic swimming (formerly synchronized swimming) for the LGBTQ+ community and our allies in New York City. For over 30 years its teams have participated in the USMS ePostal National One Hour Swim Challenge (OHS) and used the challenge as a fundraiser to raise money for community organizations that support the LGBTQ+ community.

Its Annual One Hour Swim Fundraiser, held Saturday, June 11 raised funds to support Alliance for Positive Change. We appreciate TNYA’s support for Alliance, and will continue to show love and support for the TNYA community!

The meals completely filled up our kitchen fridge and freezer, with over 50 pounds of black beans, sandwiches, house salads, pudding, tostones, sweets. They were enjoyed by over 70 Alliance participants today.

RLC also brought us several delicious pastries from Constellation Culinary and Starbucks, which our participants loved!

Of course Alliance on the Move was on site, and provided 22 Hep-C tests, 15 HIV tests, which Alliance LES Harm Reduction Center’s team provided 15 Narcan kits, 8 Fentanyl testing kits and 5 sniffing kits.

Dozens of women attending made beautiful tie dye shirts, received spa gifts, ate a fantastic barbecue lunch, and danced the afternoon away.
