Alliance celebrated the holidays with our program participants by distributing wrapped toys, winter clothing items, and food pantry necessities to hundreds of New Yorkers and their families. Special thanks to FPWA, Help Is On The Way Today, PVH, Team New York Aquatics, and New York City Gay Men’s Chorus for their donations to make this time of year joyous for our participants.
In an effort to promote equitable access to vaccine information, Alliance has placed ads at the entrances to the 116th, 125th, and 135th Streets 2-3 subways lines featuring Alliance team members as the stars. Check out our ads this winter!
To honor those lost to HIV and those continuing to live courageously with HIV/AIDS, Alliance hosted an all day program of events on December 1. While anyone could participate virtually, Alliance staff, peers and friends came to Midtown Central to be together for our program of events, which included “Reading of Names,” “In their Own Words: HIV in Me,” “Confronting Miss Information,” “Poets Cafe,” “What do you know about Sexuality,” “Test your knowledge about HIV/AIDS,” and, of course, Free and Confidential testing at all Alliance facilities.
