Step 2:
Alere Determine™ HIV-1/2 Ag/Ab Combo fingerstick testing. The rapid point-of-care test provides clear results in just 20 minutes.

Step 3:
Post-test results pick-up and counseling. The Alliance Counselor will respond to your needs and concerns, discuss risk reduction strategies, and arrange for confirmatory testing, as needed.

About the test

The Alliance uses Alere Determine™ HIV-1/2 Ag/Ab Combo. Alere Deterimine is a 4th generation test, with the ability to detect HIV earlier than 2nd and 3rd generation antibody-only tests. The Alere Determine™ HIV-1/2 Ag/Ab Combo test collects blood from a small needle finger stick, this will determine if HIV antibodies or antigen are present. All testing is free and completely confidential.
