Certified Recovery Peer Advocate

Alliance is looking for a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate to work a maximum of 20 hours a week. The CRPA will provide peer recovery support services to clients with substance use disorder and will assist clients in achieving sustained recovery. This position will support recovery-oriented substance use treatment modality at our outpatient treatment program in Washington Heights. The CRPA will work collaboratively with treatment team to implement evidence-based services and will serve as a role model, mentor, and motivator to recovery individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. This position will maintain ongoing client support regardless of relapse and will serve as an ally, problem-solver, and advocate through engagement and understanding of community culture and barriers to successful recovery.
